Canadian Suresh Joachim and Claudia Vavra from Germany have set Guinness Book record by playing 57 movies for 123 hours, the agency sends AP on Wednesday.
Competition for the most stubborn moviegoer began October 2 to view the recent blockbuster "Iron man" and ended October 7, the picture "Thelma and Louise."
Competitors placed in a special room of transparent plastic on Times Square in New York, where they viewed films one after another. Under the terms of the contest, participants could not give opinion on kinoekrana and had to watch every movie from start to finish, including the final credits, after which they were given 10-minute break to restore power.
As explained Internet portal Mississauga News, the winners received two 10 thousand dollars, as well as a lifetime subscription to online video rental company Netflix, organized the contest.
