The two Altaic towns placed under curfew because of continuing more than 20 days of the invasion of hungry bears. It is reported agency ITAR-TASS news agency.


The restrictions affected villages Yaylyu and Bele, who some time ago because of nabega bears were taken under protection by members of the Altai Reserve. Now local residents are prohibited from leaving home after dark, and the day they can not go without armed guards outside the settlements.


However, the Ministry of Natural Resources has not yet been allowed to start shooting bears. The fact is that settlements Yaylyu and Bele are in the Altai territory of the reserve. However, according to the agency Interfax, the regime of specially protected natural areas has weakened a bit: people allowed to bear down on dogs.

Deputy Director of the Altai Reserve Svetlana Chuhontseva said that the reason nabega animals to villages became bad harvest pine nuts and berries. Seeking to build up fat for winter, Bears are forced to forage for food farmstead. For three weeks in Yaylyu were seen about 30 bears that have attacked domestic animals to climb coop in and rob orchards.
